Identity & Employment Basics
- Identity Card (ID) – Required to be recognized as a citizen,
- Job License / Employment – Required for most formal jobs,
Both can be obtained at the NR Offices.
Jobs Available Without Approval
You may freely apply for these jobs once you have your ID:
- Mining
- Lumberjack
These professions are considered essential labor and do not require approval.
Work That Requires No Employment

Selling Your Goods
- NPC Vendors – Always available with fixed prices, providing a reliable way to earn money.
- Player-Owned Businesses – Some businesses post buy orders and may offer better prices depending on demand.
Where to Sell:
- Butcher (NPC) – Fish, pelts, meat, animal parts
- Herbalist Shop at Saint Denis (NPC) – Herbs
- Mining Companies (NPC) – Ores and mined materials. Located in Annesburg, Tumbleweed, and Vulture’s Claim
- Lumber Mill (NPC) – Logs, and wood products
Processing Stations can also be found throughout the county, allowing you to refine raw materials into higher-value resources before selling or crafting.
Travel & Transportation
Beyond horses and wagons, Republika offers travel options:
- Caravans allow travel between major towns
- Boats offer access to coastal and river locations otherwise unreachable by land
- Trains provide long-distance travel along established routes
- Hot air balloons allow aerial travel, giving a unique view
Final Tips for New Townsfolk
- Plan your shopping before nightfall
- Not all income requires a job—explore freely
- Player-run shops mean most goods aren’t sold by generic NPC stores — they’re sold at shops other players own and stock
- A shop both sells goods to you and buys raw materials from you
- Ask around in-character if you’re unsure
- Don’t try to do everything at once. Pick one money method, earn a few thousand, upgrade, then branch out.
