REPUBLIKA RP SERVER RULES

This page contains the official Republika RP Server Rules that all players are expected to follow while playing. These rules establish the standards for fair play, quality roleplay, and a respectful environment for everyone in the community.

COMMUNITY STANDARDS & CONDUCT

1. Staff Authority & Accountability

  • Rule Enforcement: Staff have sole authority to enforce server rules. Staff will use discretion to mitigate harmful behavior, prioritizing the well-being of the community.
  • Accountability: Players who attempt to undermine the rules, exploit loopholes, or engage in disruptive behavior will face disciplinary action, up to permanent removal from the server.
  • Ticket Conduct: Players must remain respectful in all support tickets, reports, and staff interactions. Hostile, aggressive, or disruptive behavior toward staff will result in immediate warnings, strikes, or suspensions.

2. Reporting Violations & Avoiding Self-Enforcement

  • Use the Ticketing System: Report all rule violations through the designated server ticketing system.
  • No Self-Enforcement: Do not attempt to enforce rules yourself. Public accusations, toxic call-outs, and “witch hunts” are strictly prohibited.
  • Maintain Roleplay: If a rule violation occurs during a scene, continue to engage in the roleplay to the best of your ability. Do not break character or stop the scene; clipping the incident and opening a ticket afterward is the required procedure.

3. Respect, Humanity, & Inclusion

  • OOC vs. IC Separation: Remember that real people exist behind every character. Avoid “bleeding” In-Character (IC) emotions, conflicts, or animosity onto Out-of-Character (OOC) platforms (Discord, forums, etc.). You are not your character.
  • Toxic Behavior: Bullying, harassment, or abusive language toward any player OOC is strictly forbidden.
  • Diversity & Inclusion: While aiming for an authentic early 1900s setting, this community prioritizes a safe environment for players. Misogyny, stereotyping, and discrimination based on gender, race, sexuality, or any other personal characteristic will not be tolerated OOC.
  • Gender Equality: Romantic storylines are encouraged but must be entirely consensual. Forced narratives, unwelcome advances, or creating OOC discomfort based on a character’s gender are strictly prohibited.

4. Account Integrity & Security

  • Punishment Evasion: Attempting to circumvent or evade any ban or punishment (including using alt accounts or VPNs to bypass restrictions) will result in permanent account restrictions.
  • Account Ownership: Account sharing or transferring is strictly forbidden. You are solely responsible for all activity on your account.
  • Account Compromise: Logging into another player’s account is strictly prohibited and will result in the immediate freezing of both accounts.

IMMERSIVE ROLEPLAY & PERIOD AUTHENTICITY

1. Period Authenticity & Historical Realism

  • Setting: Our roleplay is set in the early 1900s. Characters must reflect this era accurately in their fashion, language, and behavior.
  • Modern References: Avoid referencing future events, modern technologies, or contemporary culture. Refrain from using modern slang or expressions. Immerse yourself completely in the timeline.
  • Supernatural Elements: Supernatural beings (ghosts, witches, vampires, etc.) are strictly prohibited as playable characters. However, era-appropriate “witch-like” tendencies grounded in realism—such as herbalism, folklore, and superstition—are acceptable.

2. Handling Sensitive Historical Topics

  • The early 1900s includes severe, sensitive issues such as historical racism, classicism, and sexism. While these elements may exist as background context for character motivations, offensive, inflammatory, or explicitly bigoted portrayals designed to shock or harass players are strictly prohibited.

3. Character Development & Progression

  • Humble Beginnings: All characters must start with humble beginnings and progress gradually. Deputies start as rookies; criminals start with minor offenses.
  • Anti-Godmodding & Min/Maxing: Starting as an overpowered character (e.g., an established, all-powerful crime lord) is strictly prohibited. Exploiting game mechanics to rapidly maximize character strength without organic roleplay is forbidden.
  • Alternate Characters: Alternate characters must be unique individuals with their own identities, personalities, and stories. They may not be direct relatives of another character you own, nor may they be used to share information, assets, influence, or ongoing storylines. Intentionally involving multiple owned characters in the same organizations, conflicts, or schemes is considered metagaming unless explicitly approved by staff.

4. Maintaining Immersion & Quality RP

  • Roleplay Commands: Actively utilize /me and /do commands to enhance the realism, context, and immersion of your actions.
  • Trolling & Roleplay Checking: Trolling and intentionally breaking character are strictly prohibited. “Roleplay Checking”—defined as unnecessarily fixating on minor inconsistencies or publicly challenging another player’s historical accuracy mid-scene—is forbidden.
  • Law Baiting: Engaging in activities designed solely to intentionally provoke law enforcement (e.g., making false reports or discharging firearms outside of a valid narrative) is prohibited.
  • Sprinting Limitations: Avoid excessive, continuous sprinting in populated areas without a valid, urgent IC reason. Sprinting in non-populated areas for travel purposes is permitted.
  • Voice Recognition & Identity: You may not identify a player by voice alone. A familiar voice may create suspicion, but additional in-character evidence is required to confirm identity. Voice recognition of masked or disguised characters is considered metagaming.

COMBAT, PVP, & DEATH MECHANICS

1. Initiating & Conducting PVP

  • Escalation Required: All Player vs. Player (PVP) engagements must be preceded by an escalated scene where all parties are clearly aware of the impending conflict. Instant shooting without roleplay interaction is treated as Random Death Match (RDM).
  • Player Agency: Before opening fire, allow opposing parties a realistic opportunity to react, seek cover, or respond verbally.
  • Cinematic Combat: Focus on creating an engaging narrative rather than simply eliminating opponents. Utilize tactics like missing shots or utilizing cover to prolong shootouts and enhance realism. If an encounter looks like an OOC PvP montage instead of immersive roleplay, it will be reviewed as a rule violation.
  • Value of Life: All players must prioritize their character’s safety and survival. Reckless, suicidal actions during combat that disregard your character’s life are prohibited.

2. Injury Roleplay & Medical Care

  • Active Portrayal: All players are required to realistically portray injuries sustained during a shootout or accident (using /me commands, portraying reduced mobility, and showing pain).
  • Downed State: Characters left untreated for 30 minutes while downed will experience severe internal injuries or blood loss. Remaining in a downed state for extended periods purely to gain a tactical advantage is prohibited.
  • Medical Compliance: All medical procedures, treatments, and follow-up appointments prescribed by in-game medical staff must be followed diligently. Failure to follow medical advice to skip recovery timelines may result in staff intervention.

3. Local vs. Player Revival

  • Local Respawn (Hospital):
    • Amnesia Rule: Upon choosing to local respawn, your character suffers complete amnesia regarding the events leading up to, and including, their death.
    • Scene Cooldown: You must avoid returning to the scene of your death for a minimum of one hour.
    • Injury Status: After a local hospital respawn, you are not obligated to continue roleplaying the physical injuries from that specific past encounter.
  • Player/Medic Revival:
    • Memory Retention: If you are successfully revived on-scene by another player or a medical professional, you retain your memories of the events leading up to the incident.
    • Mandatory Injury RP: You must fully and continuously roleplay the sustained injuries from the encounter following the revival.

4. Severe Combat Violations

  • Random Death Match (RDM): Randomly attacking or killing other players or NPCs without a valid, deeply established in-character reason is strictly prohibited. NPC attacks must serve a direct narrative purpose.
  • Revenge Killing: Retaliating against players simply because they previously downed you is prohibited. Any new attack must have a completely fresh, separate in-character escalation.
  • Execution Mechanics: Repeatedly shooting a completely downed, incapacitated player to force a permanent character death is strictly prohibited.
  • Character Kills (CK): A Character Kill permanently removes a character from the server and is irreversible. Players cannot force another player into a CK without explicit OOC consent.
  • Duel Roleplay: Duels in Republika are rare, serious, and recognized as formal challenges over major political, personal, or honorable stakes. Duels are not casual roleplay interactions and require strong narrative justification or official event approval. By accepting a duel, both parties acknowledge the possibility of death. Outside of official server-wide events, duel-related CKs must always be consented to beforehand by all involved players.
  • Server Event Exception: During official server-wide duel events hosted or approved by staff, standard CK rules do not apply unless otherwise stated for that specific event.

5. Body Disposal Guidelines

  • General Guidance: Moving a downed player’s body is generally discouraged. Characters are expected to behave realistically and avoid associating themselves with a deceased individual. Allowing bodies to be naturally discovered or treated by medical professionals fosters ongoing server storylines.
  • Permissible Disposal Restrictions:
    • Sea Disposal Prohibited: Disposing of bodies in the open sea or deep, unsearchable water is strictly prohibited.
    • Accessible Locations: Bodies may be placed in lakes, wells, or off cliffs only if they remain physically accessible for discovery and investigation by other players or law enforcement.
    • Post-Disposal: Players must promptly vacate the area immediately after disposing of a body to maintain realistic criminal self-preservation.

6. Lasso & Restraints

  • Lasso & Bolas Limitations: The use of a lasso or bolas to instantly immobilize a player during an active horse chase is strictly prohibited. These tools cannot be utilized as a shortcut to bypass a pursuit scenario.
  • Proper Deployment Conditions: A lasso or bolas may only be deployed if a clear verbal interaction has occurred first, giving the target a fair window to comply. The target must have actively failed to follow instructions, and the deployment must remain realistic and narrative-driven.
  • Restraint Escapes: A restrained or hogtied player is strictly prohibited from using game-breaking mechanics or animation exploits to break free. Doing so will be punished as Fail RP. A restrained player may only break free once the perpetrators have completely left the area, or if an outside player releases them after the scenario has naturally concluded.

CRIMINAL, ECONOMY, & FACTION GUIDELINES

1. General Criminal Roleplay Guidelines

  • Narrative Focus: Criminal acts must be driven by compelling stories, not fast financial gains. Avoid “quick kills” or immediate violence. Create detailed, immersive scenarios. Criminal activity should create genuine, palpable tension and in-character consequences.
  • Evidence: Leave tangible evidence of your presence (e.g., footprints, discarded items, or witnesses) to give law enforcement and other players an immersive trail to follow.
  • Server Restarts: Committing any major crimes (bank robberies, store robberies, major ambushes) within 30 minutes before or 30 minutes after a scheduled server restart is strictly prohibited.
  • Illegal Assets: Moonshine stills must be placed in logical, realistic, and discreet early 1900s locations (e.g., remote cabins, hidden woodland areas). Placing stills in physically implausible locations (e.g., inside tree trunks, within solid structures, or on top of modern town buildings) is strictly prohibited.

2. Robbery Roleplay Guidelines

  • Interaction Quality: Utilize /me and /do commands during robberies. Avoid rapid “hands-up” robberies with minimal verbal interaction. Victims must actively roleplay appropriate fear and reactions. Hasty, impulsive, or impromptu robberies are discouraged.
  • Harm to Victims: Harming compliant victims is prohibited unless they pose a genuine, active threat to the robber’s life.
  • You cannot rob and kill. Pick one or the other.
  • NVL / Fear RP. If you fail to value your life during a robbery or criminal situation, staff may determine that your protection from being killed no longer applies. Staff will review the situation through a ticket afterward.
  • Prohibited Robbery Actions:
  • Target Chain-Robbing: Repeatedly robbing the same player or business without a massive, multi-day story justification is prohibited.
  • Robbery During Active Hostile Scenarios: A player may only be robbed if they were a direct participant in the same active hostile scenario and the robbery occurs before the encounter has concluded. Once the hostile scene has ended or all parties have disengaged, further robbery of those players is prohibited.
  • Menu & Exploits: Robbing players while they are frozen in a user interface/menu is prohibited. Abusing animation cancels or ragdoll mechanics to gain a tactical robbery advantage is strictly forbidden.
  • Forced Bank Withdrawals: Forcing players to withdraw funds from their bank accounts is strictly forbidden.
  • Inventory Wiping: Wiping a player’s entire wagon inventory is prohibited. You must adhere strictly to the loot limits below.
  • Lying to Law Enforcement: Intentionally lying regarding the exact number of robbers actively involved in an ongoing crime scene is prohibited.
  • Criminal Identification: Criminals may not completely conceal every identifiable characteristic solely to prevent recognition. Players should retain at least two distinguishable features, such as clothing, equipment, horse, or saddle, to preserve realistic investigation and identification.
  • Robbery Loot & Cooldown Limits:
  • Player Robberies: Maximum of 3 inventory items, up to $1000 cash, and exactly one firearm. There is a mandatory one-hour cooldown between robbing different individual players.
  • Wagons: Maximum of 5 item stacks. You may choose to rob the wagon or the owners, but not both.
  • Designated Looter: If a group conducts a robbery, only one designated member may loot the victims.
  • Chain Robbery Restrictions:
  • Criminal groups may not conduct multiple robbery events back-to-back for the primary purpose of maximizing profit. After completing any robbery scenario (including heists, player robberies, wagon robberies, business robberies, or similar criminal activities), all involved participants must observe a one-hour cooldown before initiating another robbery.

For the purposes of this rule, an “involved participant” includes any individual who actively contributed to the robbery, including robbers, lookouts, wagon handlers, negotiators, escorts, or armed support.

  • Attempting to circumvent this cooldown by splitting into smaller groups, rotating members, swapping characters, or using alternate accounts will be treated as rule exploitation.
  • Staff may exercise discretion when a new criminal scenario develops naturally from an ongoing roleplay storyline and is clearly not being conducted for repetitive profit generation.
  • This rule exists to prevent repetitive crime farming, promote higher-quality criminal roleplay, and provide reasonable recovery time for victims and law enforcement.

3. Hostage & Negotiation Guidelines

Hostage roleplay is intended to generate high-stakes storytelling—it is not a mechanic to guarantee success, bypass legal consequences, or escape custody.

  • Hostage Definition: A hostage is defined as a non-consenting player being held under lethal threat to gain temporary situational leverage.
  • Hostage Limits & Prohibitions: Maximum of one (1) hostage per two (2) criminals. Hostages must be entirely neutral, uninvolved civilians. Utilizing friends, faction associates, accomplices, pre-arranged participants, or players intentionally cooperating to act as fake hostages is strictly prohibited and treated as rule exploitation. Using NPCs as hostages for leverage against players or law enforcement is forbidden.
  • Permitted Demands: You may demand a maximum of $1000 cash for every hostage held, and/or reasonable, non-monetary narrative demands (e.g., safe passage, a delayed law enforcement response, or time to leave the immediate area). Excessive, stacked demands (e.g., demanding cash + weapons + absolute immunity simultaneously) or server-breaking requests are prohibited.
  • Strictly Prohibited Hostage Uses: Hostages may NOT be used to secure the release of already arrested/detained individuals, nor to cancel, reduce, or evade active jail time or criminal charges. Hostage-for-prisoner exchanges are strictly forbidden, regardless of scenario structure.
  • Treatment & Law Interaction: Hostages must be kept unharmed unless they actively attempt escape or escalate violence; instant or unjustified execution is prohibited. Law enforcement must attempt verbal negotiations before escalating to tactical force, but they are not required to comply with unrealistic or metagamed demands. Hostage farming or repeatedly targeting the same players is an offense.
  • Negotiation Timeframes: After making a ransom demand, captors must allow a reasonable opportunity for a response. As a guideline, at least fifteen (15) minutes should pass before escalating the situation. If no response is received, captors may continue negotiations, relocate the hostage, modify their demands, or release the hostage. A lack of response from Kalasag does not, by itself, justify harming, executing, or permanently injuring a hostage.
  • Hostage Duration: Hostage situations should remain active and meaningful roleplay scenes. Unnecessarily prolonging a hostage situation for an excessive period without meaningful progression may be treated as poor roleplay at staff discretion.

4. Prison Breaks

  • When breaking someone out of prison or prisoner transport, your group cannot have more than 6 people.
  • Anyone who escapes from prison will automatically receive a bounty.

5. Bounty Hunter Guidelines

Bounty Hunters are lawful agents and may only pursue individuals with a valid warrant or posted bounty. Investigations must be conducted through in-character roleplay. Whenever reasonably possible, targets must be given an opportunity to surrender before force is used. The objective is apprehension, not execution; a bounty is not a kill-on-sight authorization. All escalation, PVP, and Value of Life rules apply.

6. Self-Defense, Escalation, & Overwhelming Force

  • Verbal Before Violence: During a robbery, the perpetrator must issue a clear verbal demand and give the victim at least 5 seconds to react or comply. While the perpetrator is actively giving instructions or making demands, and has not physically escalated the encounter, the victim may not immediately resort to lethal force. Shooting the robber before the demand has been completed or before the 5-second reaction window has elapsed will be considered No Value for Life (NVL).
  • What is NOT Self-Defense: The following actions are strictly prohibited and do not constitute legal self-defense:
    • Pretending to comply and instantly spin-shooting without prior roleplay escalation.
    • Opening fire during active verbal negotiation without an immediate, escalated threat to life.
    • Fighting back or drawing a weapon against overwhelming force.
    • Chasing fleeing robbers after they have successfully left the immediate scene.
  • Overwhelming Force (3+ Attackers): If you are being targeted or held up by two (2) or more armed attackers, you are not allowed to fight back. This is considered overwhelming force. You are structurally required to comply or negotiate. Attempting to draw a weapon or engage in combat against multiple attackers will be punished as an NVL violation.

7. Faction Structure & Conflicts

  • Faction Formation & Limits: A minimum of 3 active members is required to form an official faction, with a maximum limit of 15 members per faction. Active in-game posse size is strictly capped at a maximum of 6 members at any given time.
  • To create and lead an official faction, the faction leader must have been a member of the server for at least fourteen (14) days. Individuals joining an official faction must have been in the server for at least seven (7) days.
  • Characters must be at least fourteen (14) days old before participating in organized criminal activity, including criminal faction membership, robberies, kidnappings, and similar high-impact crimes. Characters are expected to establish themselves within the world and develop their story before engaging in organized criminal roleplay.
  • Alliances: Criminal factions may build relationships, conduct business, and cooperate through RP, but permanent alliances are not allowed.
    • Factions must remain independent.
    • Factions may not routinely combine members or operate as one organization.
    • Cooperation must have a clear IC reason and should support meaningful RP.
  • Faction Attacks & Cooldowns: A faction attack involving firearms or bladed weapons starts a 24-hour cooldown for the factions involved.
    • During the cooldown, neither faction may initiate another faction attack against the same opposing faction.
    • Non-lethal fistfights do not count as faction attacks.
    • If you attack the same group or faction twice and they do not retaliate, you may not attack them again unless they meaningfully instigate against your faction.
  • Official Faction Wars: Factions must formally agree to specific “War Terms” (reasons, parameters) and submit a fixed war participant roster to the CRM team. Once approved, the roster cannot be modified. Factions must risk up to three (3) approved “War Stakes” (e.g., specific properties, businesses, or character fates). CRM reserves the right to reject imbalanced stakes or intervene to terminate prolonged, stagnant conflicts. Faction turf must be determined entirely in-character and cannot encompass entire cities, public services, or private civilian infrastructure.

8. Property Ownership & Business Balancing

  • Individual Eligibility: Players are limited to a maximum of one (1) residential property and one (1) business property per account. To buy property, an account must have zero bans or administrative actions within the past 30 days, and the character must meet a minimum age requirement (14 days for residential, 30 days for businesses). Married couples are limited to a shared pool of one (1) property per couple to prevent hoarding.
  • Business Ownership Period: A business must be owned for at least 90 days before it may be sold or transferred. Selling or transferring a business before the 90-day ownership period has passed will result in a restriction from owning a business in the future.
  • Family & Faction Collective Limits: Families and factions are not restricted to a fixed number of collective residential or business properties. However, ownership must remain active, roleplay-driven, and must not create economic monopolies. Families and factions may not own multiple businesses that directly depend on one another within the same production chain (e.g., Mining Company → Blacksmith → Gunsmith). Manors and major historic estates remain subject to individual administrative review. The administration reserves the right to review, deny, or revoke ownership arrangements that negatively impact the server economy or roleplay.
  • Activity & Repossession: Legitimate, active roleplay usage is mandatory to maintain property deeds. Inactive properties or abandoned businesses will face ownership review, repossession, and redistribution via public government auction. Priority during auctions will be given to new families, active citizens, or underrepresented business sectors.
  • Real Estate Transactions: All property and business sales or transfers must be handled through Real Estate Agents.
  • Administration Review: Administration reserves the right to review or revoke property or business ownership when necessary to protect the server economy, prevent abuse, or maintain healthy roleplay.
  • Anti-Circumvention Policy: Any attempt to bypass these property caps via alternate accounts, proxy ownership, hidden structural partnerships, or temporary dummy transfers will result in immediate asset confiscation, permanent ownership disqualification, and heavy administrative sanctions. Real Estate Offices (REO) maintain the full right to refuse sales to characters who have actively harassed their staff.

RESTRICTIVE CONTENT & INTEGRITY

1. Law & Medical Professional Integrity

  • Law Enforcement Restrictions: Law enforcement characters are strictly prohibited from engaging in any criminal acts that generate personal financial profit or mechanically disadvantage other players (e.g., robbery, extortion, theft), regardless of duty status or disguise. Law-issued firearms, ammunition, and tactical equipment are non-transferable; selling, lending, or purposely “losing” department gear to civilians or criminal groups is strictly prohibited.
  • Law Advantage Bans: Law enforcement may not provide any gameplay advantage to criminals. This includes sharing resources gained from state access, intentionally allowing suspects to escape without a profound and approved narrative reason, or using their legal position to shield specific factions. Legal corruption is strictly limited to story-only actions (e.g., passing verbal information, acting as an informant, personal dialog bias). Any major mechanical corruption requires prior administrative approval. High-ranking officials are held to a higher standard; abuse of authority will result in immediate removal from the role, asset confiscation, or permanent bans.
  • Medical Professional Restrictions: Doctors are strictly prohibited from engaging in criminal acts that generate profit or provide an unfair mechanical advantage (e.g., selling illegal medical supplies, selectively healing specific factions mid-fight for an advantage, or aiding criminals during active crime scenes), regardless of employment status or disguise. Doctors are positions of trust and neutral support roles. Abuse of medical authority or selective favoritism will result in immediate removal from the medical faction, asset confiscation, and administrative bans.

2. Sisika Penitentiary

  • Sisika Penitentiary: Sisika Penitentiary is a maximum-security federal prison. Unauthorized entry, loitering, conducting business, or attempting to access prison grounds without legitimate roleplay authorization (such as prison staff, Kalasag, prisoner transport, approved visitors, or staff-approved events) is prohibited and may be treated as a No Value for Life (NVL) violation. Initiating unjustified violence against prison personnel or law enforcement within Sisika is likewise considered an extreme disregard for life due to the overwhelming security presence.

3. Prohibited Severe Themes

To maintain a respectful environment, the following thematic elements are strictly prohibited from the server under all circumstances:

  • Disgusting Roleplay: Overly graphic, disturbing, or disgusting depictions of bodily functions, fecal activities, and excessively graphic descriptions of bodily mutilation or injuries.
  • Suicide: The roleplay of suicide or self-harm is strictly prohibited.
  • Abortion: Roleplay involving abortion is strictly prohibited.
  • Child Harm: Any roleplay involving child murder, physical abuse, or harm to minors is strictly prohibited.

4. Regulated Content Boundaries

  • Strict Prohibition: Explicit sexual roleplay, erotic roleplay (ERP), and the graphic description of sexual acts are strictly prohibited; furthermore, unwarranted sexual advances, public sexual acts, or sexually aggressive behavior will result in an immediate and permanent ban.
  • Torture Roleplay: Torture roleplay must have explicit OOC consent from all involved parties prior to the scene. Consent for individual methods must be clearly established and can be revoked OOC at any time during the scene. Killing a character immediately following a torture scene is prohibited without prior OOC agreement or an approved CK application.
  • Pregnancy Roleplay:
    • Must be pre-approved via an OOC written agreement between all involved parties.
    • The roleplay must last for a minimum of six real-life weeks.
    • Players must wait a minimum of three real-life months after the in-game birth before introducing the child as a playable character (and parent characters must age realistically to match).
    • Pregnant characters must display an increased sense of self-preservation and limited physical abilities. The Value of Life rule applies with doubled severity to pregnant characters (NVL rules apply heavily, as they are responsible for two lives).

This ruleset is subject to change at any time. Changes will be announced as they go into effect.

SANCTION POLICY

Sanctions are based on the severity, intent, impact, and previous history of the violation.

Not every rule violation results in a strike. Honest mistakes, new-player mistakes, and minor issues may be handled with a correction or warning.

1. First Offense (Warning)

A verbal or written warning detailing the specific rule violation serves as a first offense warning. It provides education on the relevant rule and resources to prevent future violations. In some cases, an optional temporary restriction may be imposed, such as a brief limitation on specific activities or roles, depending on the nature of the violation.

2. Second Offense (Suspension)

For a second offense, a temporary suspension may be imposed. The duration of the suspension varies depending on the severity of the violation. For instance, a server ban of 24 to 72 hours may be imposed for minor violations, while a ban of 1-2 weeks may be imposed for more serious violations. Additionally, the player may lose access to specific roles, such as law enforcement or medical, for a temporary period.

3. Third Offense (Escalated Action)

A third offense warrants more severe consequences. An extended suspension of 1 week to 30 days may be imposed, depending on the severity of the violation. In extreme cases, permanent character death (perma-death) may result, resulting in the loss of all progress, items, and status associated with the character. Furthermore, the player may lose access to the server entirely, potentially including all their characters.

4. Immediate Ban

Some violations may result in an immediate permanent ban without previous strikes.

Examples include:

  • Ban evasion.
  • Doxxing or serious privacy violations.
  • Severe malicious exploitation.
  • Intentional server sabotage.
  • Severe targeted harassment or threats.
  • Malicious software or tools intended to harm the server or players.
  • Extreme or repeated hate-based harassment.

Staff may also issue an immediate permanent ban for other extreme violations.

5. Staff Discretion

Not every situation can be covered by a list.

Staff may:

  • Give a warning instead of a strike.
  • Reduce or increase a sanction.
  • Skip normal escalation when necessary.
  • Consider intent, cooperation, and previous history.
  • Combine multiple violations into one stronger sanction.
  • Issue an immediate ban for severe violations.

Honest mistakes and genuine misunderstandings may be treated more leniently.

Ignorance of the rules does not excuse a violation.

6. Sanction Privacy

All sanctions and disciplinary actions are confidential.

Only the involved player(s) and authorized staff will be informed of the details.

Players may not demand information about another player’s:

  • Warnings or strikes
  • Suspension or ban
  • Evidence
  • Staff discussions
  • Disciplinary history

Staff may confirm that a report has been handled, but will not disclose another player’s punishment.

This protects player privacy, prevents OOC retaliation, and allows staff to handle cases fairly.

7. Appeals

Players who believe that their warning was unjustified may submit an appeal. For first offenses, players have the option to appeal within 7 days of receiving the warning. The appeal process involves a review of the warning and the player’s actions by the server staff. For second offenses, players have the opportunity to submit a formal appeal within 7 days of the suspension. Appeals for third offenses are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and the decision to reinstate the player or impose further consequences is made based on the specific circumstances of each case. Continued violations may result in permanent removal from the server.

Appeals should provide relevant information or new evidence.

Appeals must not be used to:

  • Harass or threaten staff.
  • Target another player.
  • Demand another player’s punishment.
  • Repeatedly reopen a case without new information.

Staff may close an appeal when no meaningful new information is provided.

The sanction system is intended to protect the RP environment and correct behavior, not simply punish players.

Staff will consider the severity, intent, impact, and circumstances of each case when deciding the appropriate sanction.

Republika RP values immersion, respect, and story above winning.

If something feels unrealistic, rushed, or unfair — it probably is.
We expect every member of our community to choose better roleplay over easy outcomes. Let your character fail, let the story breathe, and prioritize the experience of those around you.
